Engagement Cloud

The rebrand is official! SAP Emarsys is now SAP Engagement Cloud. BASE1 cuts through the noise and gives you an honest, technical breakdown of what changed, what did not, and which edition might be right for your organisation.

Emarsys is now Engagement Cloud: Here Is What You Need to Know.

If you logged into your SAP Emarsys account recently and noticed something looked a little different, you are not imagining things. SAP Emarsys is now SAP Engagement Cloud, and while the login screen update is minor, the story behind it is worth understanding.

At BASE1, we have been digging into what this change actually means for the clients and partners we work with every day. The short version is that most of you have nothing to worry about. But there is more to this than a rebrand, and we wanted to make sure you heard our take before drawing your own conclusions.

We sat down to record a podcast breaking it all down. No jargon, no spin. Just an honest look at what changed, what did not, and what it might mean for your business.

So What Actually Changed?

SAP Engagement Cloud is not a replacement for Emarsys. It is an evolution. Everything you have built on the platform, your campaigns, automations, and integrations, remains fully intact. The solution you rely on continues as the Emarsys Edition of SAP Engagement Cloud, and all existing capabilities carry forward without interruption.

What is new is the introduction of the Enterprise Edition, a separate offering designed for organisations managing more complex scenarios. Think multiple brands, multiple regions, or deeper B2B account relationships. It brings advanced administration, governance, and data control capabilities to organisations that need to operate at that scale.

The two editions are not interchangeable, and one is not simply better than the other. They are built for different needs. The Emarsys Edition continues to be the right home for the majority of existing users. The Enterprise Edition opens up new possibilities for organisations whose complexity has outgrown what a single marketing tool can handle.

What This Means for You

If you are an existing Emarsys user, your immediate action is simple: there is none. Keep doing what you are doing. Your platform has not changed.

If you are curious about the Enterprise Edition, or if challenges around multi-brand management, regional data separation, or B2B account visibility sound familiar, it may be worth a conversation.
